Our Building Process

We here at JBG Builders know that the new home buying process can be stressful. We’ve worked with hundreds of first-time, and repeat, homebuyers in both Berkeley and Jefferson County over our 30+ years in business and have simplified the entire process to make it as transparent and simple as possible.

  1. Step 1

    Meet with a
    JBG sales person

Stop by or call for an appointment at one of our model homes in Berkeley or Jefferson County. Our warm and friendly team will be happy to show you around and start the new home buying process.

  2. Step 2

    Get pre-qualified
    with a lender

Get pre-approved with one of our preferred lenders to receive a loan or quote to secure a pre-approval letter and see how much home you can afford.

  3. Step 3

    Find the perfect
    JBG Community

We’ll listen to your family’s specific wants and needs and help you find the perfect floor plan for you and your family and the ideal homesite in your desired JBG neighborhood.

  4. Step 4

    Make all your
    design selections

Meet with our Design Team to create your dream home with the finishes that you desire. Want to add a screened in porch or a library? We do that — without any up front special request charges like many other production builders.

  5. Step 5

    Time to sit back
    and relax

Unlike many national or regional production builders who quote 6-9 months, we here at JBG Builders can usually deliver your new home in 120-130 days (that’s less than half the time of those other guys)!

  6. Closing Day!

Meet with your escrow representative to review and sign the documents to fund the purchase of your new home! Once the title has transferred to your name the keys to your new JBG home will be delivered!
